Custom tiled tub walls installation in Castle Rock
and surrounding areas

Talamo Tile & Stone builds custom tile tub surrounds for homes in Castle Rock and surrounding areas: floors, tub surrounds, niches, benches, and other tile or stone in the room. The shower work starts behind the tile: substrate, waterproofing, and a flood test. Then we set the tile.

Talamo Tile & Stone installs custom tile showers in Castle Rock, Colorado. The work starts with substrate repair and a waterproof shower pan or bonded membrane (Schluter most often; also Laticrete or RSS), flood-tested before any tile is set. Talamo handles tile and waterproofing only, not plumbing or electric. The company is CTI-certified (#1420), Schluter-trained, and large-format certified. The tile is set by Vito Talamo (30+ years experience.) and his sons Nicholas (10+ years) and Matthew (3+ years).

What we build

We build custom tiled showers in porcelain, ceramic, glass, mosaic, and natural stone. Plus bathroom floors and other bath tile or stone, not just the shower. That includes tub-to-shower conversions, walk-ins with niches and benches, detail work like linear drains, large-format tile, tub surrounds, and zero-entry / ADA curbless showers with the Rapid Recess system (ask when you call if that’s the goal).
We can add heated floors when an electrician or plumber is part of the plan.

How we keep tub walls from leaking

Tub surrounds fail from water behind the tile, not from the tile you see. On every job we demo and inspect the wet area, make the walls and floor true, waterproof with a tile backer or bonded membrane (Schluter on most jobs; also Laticrete or RSS when needed), then set the tile. Often large-format, mosaic, stone, or subway tile with clean planes and tight joints. If the waterproofing is not right, the tile does not matter. That is why the membrane and the waterproofing come before the pretty part.
